At True North Sanctuary, our mission is to provide a safe and loving environment for animals while fostering healing, hope, and connection within our community. True North Sanctuary is a nonprofit organization recognized by the Internal Revenue Service as tax-exempt under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.

Where we are today
True North Sanctuary has secured its 501(c)(3) status and is being developed on 12.5 acres in Athens, Ohio. We are currently preparing the barn, property, strengthening our animal-care infrastructure, and raising the funds needed to responsibly expand our rescue capacity. We will never take in more animals than we can safely and sustainably support.
